I always try to ensure that a unique approach is taken for each client. At the first meeting (called the "Assessment") we will be able to jointly decide whether we want to work together. I will ask you a number of questions some of which may seem very personal. The more honest and open you are the greater the eventual benefit is likely to be for you. There will also be practical questions, such as details about your family, your past and the expected length of therapy. You will be encouraged to ask questions, so it may be a good idea to think carefully about them, perhaps writing them down so that they may be fully dealt with.
Subsequent sessions will usually be weekly (on some occasions fortnightly sessions may be agreed). Those sessions will generally be on the same day and at the same time each week.
Sessions are held either near Farringdon Street (evenings only) or near Paddington Station. Subsequent appointments may be possible in North London (Zone 2) by special arrangement.
Once you have commenced therapy you will have started on a journey that may well change your life. Do not be impatient. Remember that you have taken your age in years to become the person that you are and to have the issues and challenges that you now have. Therapy is a tool that you can use to address those issues and a resource that you can use to meet those challenges. Most therapy clients are surprised that after a period of therapy they have changed but they have been unaware that changes have occurred
I am very aware that taking the first step to make contact can be stressful and very difficult. To arrange the first meeting either call me on 07956 569149 or email me on [email protected] giving your contact telephone number and detailing any times that it would not be convenient for me to call you back. I always endeavour to call back within 24 hours.
